A WESTON pub is revving up for a busy schedule of rock gigs to go alongside charity bike nights being held in the resort.

Themed motorbike nights will be held throughout the summer until September 27 on Beach Lawns, with the money raised going to the Royal British Legion through the Poppy Appeal.

And Scally’s bar in Carlton Street is hosting weekly gigs each Thursday at 8.30pm to go alongside the summer’s schedule.

Tonight (Thurs) will see five-piece Dogs and Demons attempt to rock the socks off the audience, before classic rock act Crossfire take over on May 17.

Exeter-based trio Stillyano are influenced by acts as diverse as Bon Jovi to Dream Theater to Oasis and will bring the noise to the venue on May 24.

And the month’s action will be rounded off on May 31 by the blues-influenced three-piece The Real Deal.

Entry for all of the events is free, and there will be a hog roast at each gig.
