Young singer and guitarist Sunjay will perform his folk and blues tunes in Frenchay.

Sunjay, aged 22, plays his music as though he is sitting down with a group of close friends.

He made the final section for the BBC’s Young Folk Awards in 2012, and was recognised by the British Blues Awards in 2014.

His most recent release, Black & Blues, was recorded in a single day in August 2015.

It was his fourth album, following on from records in 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Despite being at the start of his career, he has already supported the likes of Passenger and guitarist Terry Reid.

Sunjay, with support from Lara Conley, is performing at the Downend Folk Club in Frenchay Village Hall in Beckspool Road, Frenchay, on July 15 at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £9, are available from or are £11 on the door.
