A LOS Angeles band tipped as ‘the next big thing’ by The Guardian will be delivering their compelling melodies at Bristol’s Thekla on February 14.

Electric Guest are a band with momentum on their side, after a string of knockout festival shows and a growing catalogue of TV appearances.

Their material defies standard genre classification, but is packed with memorable melodies and tells tales of modern day America’s distorted values.

They are still relatively unknown on UK shores, but a tour slot in support of The Vaccines is about to change all that – so their Bristol stop-off could represent a chance to see them before they hit the mainstream.

Tickets are priced at £12 and are available from www.theklabristol.co.uk
