A Bristol duo will perform their new single in their hometown next month.

Meadowlark, made up of Kate McGill, vocals, and Dan Broadley, guitars, have announced their new UK tour after unveiling their new single Quicksand.

The song was inspired by a post on the popular Facebook page Humans of New York which follows the lives of New Yorkers and more.

McGill said: “We were so heartbroken reading these stories. We want to acknowledge these incredibly brave people and all those who devote their lives to helping them.”

Quicksand follows Meadowlark’s recent album Paraffin, which came out earlier this year.

Bristol will be the third stop on the duo’s tour, with a performance at Crofters Rights on September 24.

Meadowlark will be at the Stokes Croft venue at 7pm on September 24. Tickets, priced £8, are available online via
