AN ACOUSTIC Battle of the Bands competition will to take place on June 8 at Burnham’s Princess Theatre and Arts Centre, in Princess Street.

From 7-11pm, 10 solo artists, duos and groups will each perform three songs live, only one of which can be a cover.

FolkFest chairman, Dom Wills, said: “The battle is open to all ages. We’re trying to promote live performance and original song writing in the area. It should be a cracking night’s entertainment, too.”

Entry forms are available now online at http://www.folkfest.co.uk.
