Cheddar Male Choir are heading to Burnham in search of new members.

The choir are looking for more people to join its ranks, and so are holding two open workshop events in August.

The choir will be at Burnham Community Centre, in Windsor Lane, on August 8 and 15.

The workshops will begin at 7.30pm each evening and people will be able to listen to the choir perform or join in.

A spokesman from the group said: “Please come along and listen or join in just so you can see how much fun it is to sing in Cheddar Male Choir.

“If you are unsure, then don’t be, there’s no pressure on you.”

The choir was founded in 1995 and holds its practice sessions at Draycott Memorial Hall from 7.30-9.30pm every Tuesday.

The choir’s motto is ‘we aim to entertain’ and they perform around 12 concerts a year to raise money for good causes.
