The frontman of a popular 1990s band will perform in Weston-super-Mare this month.

Chris Helme will be at Orange Corner in Regent Street on June 23.

Chris is the former frontman of John Squire’s post-Stone Roses band, The Seahorses.

During the band’s heyday they toured with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Oasis and U2.

Tracks Love Is The Law and Blinded By The Sun are remembered particularly fondly by Britpop fans, evoking the excitement surrounding the country at the time.

Chris has also worked with The Yards while his last solo album The Rookery has been widely praised.

The album uses melodic guitar, strings and Chris’s powerful voice to create a distinctive sound.

Doors to Weston’s Orange Corner will open at 8pm on June 23.

Tickets, priced £10, are available from Orange Corner or online.
