CHRISTMAS will come early to audience members at The Playhouse Theatre this month.

A Very Merry Christmas Music Hall will bring a variety of twinkling festive favourites to the theatre for one day only on November 12 at 3pm.

The production, which enjoyed unparalleled popularity in its nationwide tour last year, will this year feature special guest Marilyn Hill, who recently appeared as the star soprano on The Sound of Music’s UK tour.

Duggie Chapman MBE, producer of the popular We’ll Meet Again, will again bring his super variety show to the theatre, with Adam Daye from TV series Who Do You Do acting as host to get you in the holiday spirit.

Alongside him will feature a comedy impressionist, Celtic music sounds played on a variety of unusual instruments by Andante, the golden voice of Tony Leyton, the juggling skills of Tom Rolfe and a sing-a-long carol finale to provide a Yuletide treat for all the family.

Tickets, priced £10.50-£12.50, are available from the box office on 01934 645544 or www.theplayhouse.co.uk

n The Mercury has teamed up with the Playhouse to offer three lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to the show.
