Classic Greek story to be reimagined in Bath

Greek myths and legends will be retold at a Somerset theatre this week – through the medium of tabletop props and puppets.
The Egg Theatre, at Bath’s Theatre Royale, in Sawclose, will host There And Back Again – An Odyssey on Saturday and Sunday at 11.30am and 3pm.
The show is a modern adaptation of epic poem The Odyssey, one of the oldest works in Western literature, where Ulysses, king of Ithaca, completes a 10-year voyage to get home after the fall of Troy.
Ulysses faces a thrilling ride across hostile seas and spooky islands, all told on a simple table top with models and puppets.
The play uses multiple cameras to capture the table-top storytelling and relays it to the big screens in the theatre, and Patrick Lynch’s epic narration is the perfect accompaniment for this exciting tale.
Tickets for this show, priced £7.50-8.50, are available from 01225 448844 or online via www.theatreroyal.org.uk
