TO CELEBRATE the 25th anniversary of the release of Deacon Blue’s debut album Raintown the band will head out on a full UK tour.

The band is reuniting to record a new studio album and Demon Music are embarking on a full re-release campaign of the band’s entire catalogue of tracks.

This will feature unreleased music, demos, and videos from the band’s archive, and is set to be released alongside the brand new album.

The anniversary tour will also be coming to Bristol and will feature songs from the forthcoming album as well as Deacon Blue’s greatest hits.

Ricky Ross says: “Our 25th anniversary has been looming, and I hoped that the band and I could release new material to celebrate.

“I’ve been writing songs with Deacon Blue in mind for a few years now, and it’s great to be back in the studio in Glasgow getting these tracks down. I can’t wait to get them out on the road.”

Deacon Blue will hit the stage at Bristol’s Colston Hall on October 18 at 7pm. Tickets, priced £29.50-39.50, are available from the box office on 0117 9223686.
