A comedian who came to prominence with a viral clip on YouTube will present some of her favourite sketches in Weston-super-Mare.

Doreen started releasing comedic sketches online seven years ago, and has gone on to complete five theatre tours and release an autobiography.

She also appeared in Doreen The Movie, featuring a cameo by Led Zeppelin star Robert Plant.

Her satirical political videos where she assesses the state of the nation as only she can regularly reach millions of people.

Doreen’s Naughty Bits will be performed at the Blakehay Theatre, where she will present her favourite moments, sketches and videos from the past four years of doing one-woman shows.

One critic described it as: “A genuinely hilarious and superbly-written evening of good old-fashioned variety entertainment; a one-woman show of at-times dizzying comic invention.”

The extracts will include Doreen’s Grand Night Out, Rise of the Yam-Yam and Doreen’s Christmas Cracker.

Doreen, who is from the Midlands, will also include a preview of her new autumn show, which starts touring in October.

A spokesman said: “A great intro to Doreen if you’ve never seen her live before, and a varied feast of favourite funny memories for ardent fans.”

Doreen will perform at the Blakehay, in Wadham Street, on August 11 at 7.30pm.

The show contains adult humour, and is suitable for people aged 16 and over.
