An experimental five-piece band will be performing inside an intimate venue in Bristol in May.

Flamingods formed in Bahrain in 2009 and have absorbed influences from around the world.

The group play instruments from as far afield as Thailand, Indonesia, Nepal, Tanzania and Turkey.

The group was described as ‘an explosion of colour’ by Dazed magazine and they will soon be performing at The Lantern – which is a smaller venue within Colston Hall.

Flamingods will be at The Lantern, in Colston Street, on May 12.

They will be supported by Yama Warashi and doors will open at 8pm.

Tickets, priced £12.90 to include a booking fee, are available by calling 08448 871500 or via www.colstonhall.org
