BEST friends Matt Wescott and Rob Clarke will be joining forces to perform an acoustic cover duet this month.

The two Weston fathers first met at Broadoak School and worked together musically for the first time in 2001 in a band called Tremor.

They were the primary song writers and played on the main stage at the Gold Coast Festival, in Croyde Bay, Devon.

When the band split up they then formed a new band called Le Scour and played at venues such as the Bristol O2 academy, London’s Marquee Club, The Louisiana and the Thekla.

Le Scour split up in 2006 and even though the duo embarked on new music projects they remained close friends.

Early this year they decided to compile some acoustic covers and after regular meetings they decided to embark on some Weston gigs together, focussing on two part vocal harmonies.

With influences from The Beatles and The Verve, Rob and Matt will be bringing a variety of covers to their next show. The start of their series of summer gigs will be at The Imperial, in South Parade, on Saturday at 8pm. Entry is free.
