Gentlemen's Dub Club to perform at Motion in Bristol

One of the country's most successful dub bands - Gentlemen's Dub Club - will be performing in Bristol in March.

The group will perform in Motion, a Bristol nightclub created out of old warehouse spaces.

Gentlemen’s Dub Club is made up of nine members creating distinctive electronic dance music while using percussion, drums, keys, guitar, bass synths, a saxophone, trumpet and vocals.

Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music which emerged in the 1990s from a mixture of garage, techno, drum and bass, jungle and reggae music.

Gentlemen’s Dub Club pride themselves in delivering energetic and exhilarating live shows, having performed in front of crowds as far afield as Goa and as close to home as Glastonbury.

The group have also supported well-known artists including The Streets, The Wailers and Roots Manuva.

The group released their first EP, Members Only, in 2009 and have since gone from success to success. Their recent album, The Big Smoke, was a huge hit and the band is now set to tour across the country.

Gentlemen’s Dub Club will be at Motion, in Avon Street, on March 4. The event is for people aged 14 or over and doors will open at 7pm.
