CRITICALLY-ACCLAIMED spoken word artist George The Poet will be performing at the O2 Academy in Bristol in October.

George was came fifth in the BBC’s Sound of 2015 poll, and was nominated for a Brit Critics’ Choice Award.

The 24-year-old has performed at a number of UK summer festivals, and is embarking on a nationwide tour this autumn.

George has attracted the attention of actors, politicians and royalty with his socio-political verses.

He first emerged on the poetry circuit with his collection called Search Party, which was published by Virgin Books in February.

But his album The Chicken And The Egg has received national radio airplay, with songs including Cat D and My City.

George The Poet will be at the O2 Academy in Bristol on October 12, and doors open at 7pm.
