Heather Small has sold more than 11 million records and scooped Brit and Mercury Music Awards and now she is embarking on a new tour which will see her stop in Bristol.

Small has spent 25 years in the music industry and is celebrating some of her best tracks by heading out on a new tour.

When she was part of M People, hits such as Moving On Up, One Night In Heaven and Search For The Hero, thrust her into worldwide success, as she became one of the seminal British voices of the 1990s.

The band won Best British Dance Act Award at the Brits in 1994 and 1995, and the Mercury Music Prize for Elegant Slumming.

Since rising to fame with M People, Small has gone on to enjoy great successes with her two solo albums; Proud and Close To A Miracle.

Her song Proud became associated with the success of British athletes, as it was used to mark the handover of the Olympic Games from Beijing to London.

The star is not just known for having a fantastic and soulful voice, she is famed for knowing how to put on a show, too.

One of her particular talents is dancing, as became clear when she entered series six of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Small will be at Marble Factory, in Avon Street, on April 17. Doors will open at 7pm and the show is expected to finish at 11pm.

The event is for people aged 14 and older only and tickets, priced £31.35 to include a booking fee, are available via www.marblefactorybristol.com/event/heather-small

VIP tickets, priced £66, are also available.
