A RISING Weston band who have been showered with praise following the release of their debut single will be performing in the town tomorrow night (Friday).

Towns have been touring relentlessly during 2012, but will be taking to the stage on home turf for a gig at the Green Baize Sports Club.

The date comes hot on the heels of the all-local outfit being marked as ‘ones to watch’ by the likes of Radio One, The Guardian and NME.

Radio One DJ Zane Lowe even described the guitar band’s first release as his ‘favourite new song right now’.

The acclaim followed the release of singles Gone Are The Days and Just Everything, but comes ahead of a debut EP release scheduled for October.

Doors open at 8pm, and entry to the North Street venue is free.
