BRITISH singer-songwriter sensation Katie Melua will bring her autumn tour to the South West as she performs at Bristol's Colston Hall.
The 27-year-old singer has sold more than 11 million albums across the world and is one of Britain’s most-successful artists of the last decade.
Following the release of her latest album, Secret Symphony, in March she will perform at the concert hall in Colston Street on October 11.
Melua, who was born in the former USSR but moved to the UK when she was eight, was catapulted to fame when she released her debut album at the age of 19 – Call Off The Search sold 1.8 million copies in its first five months.
Since then she has released a further four albums while becoming a household name around the world.
Following the release of Secret Symphony she has spent the summer performing at festivals and venues across Europe such as the Jazz Open Festival in Stuttgart and the Den Fynske Landsby open air museum in Odense, Denmark.
Ahead of the tour she said: “I really enjoyed recording Secret Symphony, there is a simplicity to it that I love and the songs are beautiful to sing.
“Playing a song live on stage brings something new each time and it is exciting to share that unique performance, that special moment, with the audience.”
Tickets, priced £32.50, are available from the box office on 0117 9223686 or at www.colstonhall.org
