IN HER final show in Weston, singer Sarah Evans will be belting out some favourite tunes in the town before she takes on a new career path at Oxford University.

Twenty-eight-year-old Sarah, of Paragon Road, in Weston, has been singing all her life and has been performing in the town since she was 16.

But after some hard work at Weston College, Sarah has gained a place at one of the UK’s most prestigious universities.

Sarah said: “I will be studying at Oxford University in September for a degree in animal biology.

“I’ve always had dogs, cats and guinea pigs and one of the things that keeps me happy is animals. Singing is a great job and the two work well together.

“I’m glad to be singing again but at the same time I’m excited for Oxford. But I’m going to continue my singing when I move as well as getting a degree as it’s definitely something I want to continue in the future.”

Sarah’s last show in Weston will be at a specially organised tapas night at The Heritage, in Wadham Street, tomorrow (Fri) at 9pm. There is no admission fee.
