Marti Pellow to star in Evita

WET Wet Wet lead singer Marti Pellow will take to the stage once again for one of musical theatre's most coveted roles - in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita.
The show, which has lyrics by Tim Rice, tells the story of Eva Peron, the wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron.
Evita follows Eva’s journey from humble beginnings through to extraordinary wealth, power and iconic status.
The audience follows her highs and lows to her being heralded as the spiritual leader of the nation by the Argentine people.
Marti Pellow plays Che, a character who reflects the voice of the people, and brings conflict to the story of Eva’s rise to fame.
Now he joins the cast fresh from a solo tour to launch his brand new solo album Hope.
Evita has more than 20 major awards to its name, including the Oscar winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas.
It also features some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre, including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall.
Evita will be at the Bristol Hippodrome from October 7-12 and tickets, priced £10-37.50, are available from the box office on 08448 713012.
