Anyone looking for a mini festival scene in the heart of Bristol will have their prayers answered on August bank holiday weekend, when YARD: Open Air Club takes place at Motion nightclub.

The Avon Street nightclub will host an all-day event, where three of its outdoor spaces – Container Yard, Lock Yard, and Crane Yard – will be opened up and filled with some of dance music’s most well-known names.

There will also be art installations and delicious street food on offer, with local traders serving up a feast to keep people dancing all day.

Motion is a huge warehouse which started out as a skate park and it has recently opened up new outdoor spaces.

The event’s headline act is Detroit pioneer Jeff Mills, who has been on the scene for decades working to keep techno firmly future-facing.

He will be joined by the likes of Seth Troxler and Eats Everything alongside Joy Orbison, Daniel Avery, Midland and Axel Boman.

Art installations curated by Mr Price will be showcased around the venue for what Motion is disguising as its ‘most ambitious outdoor event to date’.

The event will take place from noon to 10pm on August 26.

Tickets, priced £40.25-45.43, are available via
