Singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner is marking a decade in music and is performing at the O2 Academy to promote his sixth album.

Faulkner received a rousing reception when he appeared at the Hazy Days festival in Weston in the summer.

His real passion is performing live, and he designed this latest album with that in mind.

He also aimed to test himself and push his voice in new directions.

Chart-topping Faulkner shot to fame in 2007 after his debut album Hand Built By Robots topped the charts.

He is best known for his song Dream Catch Me and has most recently been playing the lead role of Johnny in Green Day’s musical American Idiot.

Newton Faulkner will appear at the O2 Academy in Bristol on November 19 at 7pm.

Tickets, priced £25.35 are available from www.academymusicgroup.com/o2academybristol
