Old Green River Band set for debut jazz night

ONE of the most exciting and entertaining bands on the UK jazz circuit will make their debut at The Prince of Orange Inn in Yatton.

Martin Bennett’s Old Green River Band will perform at the inn’s next Jazz at the Orange night on Wednesday.

The band are well known for their varied repertoire, and were revitalised in 2010 with the addition of Chez Chesterman on cornet, Roscoe Birchmore on bass, Howard Murray on reeds, John Finch on trombone, drummer Stuart Smith and leader Martin Bennett on the piano.

Tickets for the performance, which starts at 7pm, are priced £9-10 and are available from George Giles on 01934 527197 or on the door.
