AN INTERNATIONAL star will bring the forest alive with the sound of music when she visits the West Country this summer.

Paloma Faith will visit Westonbirt Arboretum in June as part of her nationwide woodland tour.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise since her debut album Do You Want The Truth was released in 2009 and has been nominated for multiple Brit Awards.

Last year’s Fall To Grace is up for Best Album and she also has been nominated in the Best British Female category.

She said, “I’m really excited about these shows. It’s going to be a great experience so I hope you will be able to join me on my woodland adventure this summer.

“I am delighted to have been nominated for these Brit awards. I don’t expect to win, but it’s so wonderful to be acknowledged for contributing something to British music.

“I am very proud to be British and so happy to do something I love.”

She has teamed up with the Forestry Commission for the tour and will be at the Gloucestershire venue on June 22 as part of its Forest Live 2013 programme.

Tickets, priced £32 plus booking fee, are available from the Forestry Commission’s box office on 03000 680400 or online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music
