Popular Squeeze musician in town

ONE of the UK's best-loved musicians will appear in Bristol next month.
Glenn Tilbrook has announced an extensive acoustic tour for autumn 2011.
He has had a career with Squeeze as a solo artist that has spanned 30 years, spawning top 10 hits all around the world such as Cool For Cats, Tempted and Up The Junction.
With his two solo albums, The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook and Transatlantic Ping-Pong, he proved he has lost none of the joie-de-vivre that became Squeeze’s trademark.
For 2009’s album Pandemonium Ensues, he injected some fresh faces by recruiting new band The Fluffers and some prestigious guests in the shape of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.
The Acoustic Tour 2011 will be different from anything that Glenn has previously done before.
Whilst the first half will simply be Glenn on his own, the second half will see him joined by two more musicians, Simon Hanson (who drums with both Squeeze and The Fluffers) and also Chris McNally, featuring percussion, acoustic guitars, Ukeleles, Indian harmonium, bass and iPads in a completely new show.
As well as performin songs from his back catalogue Glenn will be showcasing new unreleased solo material and music from The Co-Operative (Glenn’s collaboration with Nine Below Zero).
Glen will appear at the Bristol Colston Hall on November 11.
Tickets, priced £17.50, are available via www.colstonhall.org
