Popular tenor to play in Weston

LOVERS of Flanders and Swann are in for a treat on Saturday when the popular tenor Gordon Pullin will give a recital.
Gordon will entertain the audience from noon to 1pm with The Gasman Cometh, Armadillo and The Income Tax Inspector, in Weston’s All Saints’ Church, in All Saints’ Road.
Gordon Pullin was a choral scholar at St John’s College, in Cambridge, and given a number of broadcasts on Radio Three. He has also sung all over the UK, Europe, Canada and the USA.
He has made a series of recordings of English Song, in eight volumes, and has also recorded Schubert’s Winterreise, as well as a CD of hymns, with organ music based on the hymns played by Jonathan Lilley.
Now living in Somerset, Gordon Pullin is musical director of the Bristol Chamber Choir. Tickets, priced £6, include a lunch and will be available on the day.
