The biggest event in Weston’s musical calendar returns tonight (Friday) for two days of performances by some huge names from the chart scene.

That’s right... Hazy Days is back. Over the past few weeks we have been wetting your appetite for some of the hottest acts around to perform at Weston’s Tropicana.

We have a full schedule for you, so you will not miss a thing when you enter the former lido venue on the seafront over the weekend.

The festival has already proved hugely popular, with tonight headlined by Newton Faulkner now sold out.

However, if you remain keen to get along, you still have some time to secure your tickets to Saturday’s action, which includes a full day and evening of performances from the likes of Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Reef and Neville Staple Band.

However, there is not much time to get your hands on them as online ticket sales will close at 7pm tonight, so don’t delay.

After this time you will be able to purchase Saturday tickets for £35 or get the full VIP treatment for £60 at the ticket booth outside the Tropicana from 11.30am.

But to take advantage of the pre-booked £31.50 price for Saturday and £58.85 for a VIP Saturday ticket, log on to www.seetickets.com

We will have a full preview of tomorrow’s acts too, but make sure you pick up a copy of The Mercury as there is a chance inside to get a full VIP experience if you are heading to the festival this weekend.

Two festival-goers could enjoy a unique opportunity for one of the organising team to take them backstage to see how the festival runs.

Winners will also be invited to meet a few of the performers too, and experience a festival in full-swing ahead of the party, where Rude Awakenings will perform.

For a chance to win, fill in the form in the Mercury and take it along to the festival.

You can then hand in your form on the door and the lucky winners will be picked during a draw on the main stage.

This will take place at 1.50pm tomorrow; though if the holder of the winning ticket is not at the venue at this time, an alternative winner will be picked.

The winners will have their tickets upgraded and experience the full VIP effect for the rest of the festival.

HEADLINER

Newton Faulkner is one of the most eagerly-anticipated performers for the whole weekend, famed for his stunning voice as well as his dreadlocks, and will showcase a host of his hits ahead of a new album set to be released later this year.

This will be his sixth studio album and the talented 32-year-old is sure to perform some crowd favourites, including Dream Catch Me and I Need Something.
