A Grammy Award-winning R ’n’ B singer is heading on a UK tour later this year, including a stop at a Bristol venue.

Nelly will perform at the O2 Academy, in Frogmore Street, on November 17 at 6.30pm.

The Texas-born rapper boasts four UK number-ones on his CV, plus plenty more tunes which have been played time and again on the airwaves.

He shot to prominence in 2001 with catchy hit Ride Wit Me, before releasing party classic Hot In Herre.

That was followed by the release of his debut number one Dilemma with Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland.

It has been a quiet few years for the 42-year-old,
but with a packed back catalogue of hits and swagger on stage this promises to be a great night for rap and R ’n’ B fans.

Tickets, priced £31.45, are available from Ticketmaster on 08444 772000, or online via www.academymusicgroup.com/o2academybristol
