A young rapper with a host of Essex charm is set for his biggest tour yet and will be entertaining the crowds in Bristol later this year.

Rat Boy, a 21-year-old rapper from Chelmsford in Essex, will be bringing his mixture of styles – which includes hip-hop and indie rock – to the Bierkeller in Bristol in May.

He notes the likes of The Streets and The Clash as some of his main influences and has regularly been compared to big acts such as Jamie T.

Rat Boy has recently won Best Music Video for his track Get Over It at the NME awards – the video was co-directed with Rat Boy’s friend, Tommy D, and the DIY video featured a car built by Rat Boy’s dad.

The charismatic rapper has performed at huge festivals such as Glastonbury, Leeds and Reading but will now be entertaining a slightly smaller crowd at the Bristol gig.

Rat Boy will be at Bierkeller in All Saints Street, Bristol, on May 3. Doors will open at 7.30pm and tickets, priced £14.30, are available via www.ticketmaster.co.uk
