Renowned saxophonist to perform at DIY jazz evening

RENOWNED saxophonist Iain Ballamy will bring his cutting edge style to the next DIY Jazz Restaurant in Winscombe.

The event, held at The Cricket Club in The Lynch on September 15, will feature Ballamy alongside regular host and singer Ros Cuthbert and her band.

Ballamy has a huge reputation as a saxophonist and composer, and is in the BBC’s top 100 jazz legends.

He has previously worked with bands such as Bill Bruford’s Earthworks, was a founding member of Loose Tubes and has led many of his own bands, including Food.

He will perform an array of jazz and singer-songwriter numbers with a distinct foodie theme.

Featuring alongside Ros will be keyboardist Anders Olinder, double bassist Valere Speranza and drummer Andy Tween.
