CHEDDAR Arts @ Kings Theatre will celebrate its first anniversary on November 11 with the return of the London Philharmonic Skiffle Orchestra (LPSO).
The musicians performed on the organisation’s opening night last November and are returning with a new show for the occasion.
They have spent the past year working extensively for rural touring arts schemes around the country, as well as numerous folk festivals and theatre engagements.
In July LPSO appeared live on Channel 4 television and showed Vernon Kay how to ‘play the toilet’, while his guests joined the band playing computer keyboard, washboard tie and suitcase and bone.
The Cheddar evening will showcase their instrumental talents with music from all genres and from around the world.
The show will encompasses elements of country, blues, jazz, classical, Cossack, klemzer and Cockney.
The doors of the Kings Theatre at the Kings of Wessex School will open at 6.45pm, with the performance beginning at 7.30pm and tickets include a celebratory glass of wine.
Tickets are available from the box office at Kings Fitness & Leisure or by calling 01934 744939, extension six.
