A TRIBUTE to singing superstar Roy Orbison is coming to Weston's Playhouse this summer.

Barry Steele presents his live multi-media homage to The Big O, featuring classic hits from the 1960s right through to the late 1980s.

Orbison is known for his hits in the swinging sixties such as Oh Pretty Woman and Only The Lonely through to his time in super group Travelling Wilburys with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne.

The life and character of Orbison is reignited using original and film footage from the era.

Steele’s powerful vocals are given the perfect backing from his accompanying live band.

Added to the mix are special guest tributes to Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis to create an evening of old fashioned rock and roll.

The show will be held from 7.30-10pm on August 22 at the High Street venue.

Tickets, priced £20, are available from the box office on 01934 645544 or at www.theplayhouse.co.uk
