Award-winning folk singers to perform in new band

A six-piece folk band will perform a one-off show at a popular Bristol music venue later this year.
BBC Folk Award winners Sam Carter and Jim Moray made their debut as False Lights at Suffolk’s Folk East festival in 2014.
The group have since gone from strength to strength as they combine folk and rock in a modern age twist.
Fans of Sam and Jim’s work might be surprised by their intention to make False Lights a joyful spectacle as it is a step away from their usual sombre music.
The pair have reassured their fans the project will not be a one-off collaboration but the start of something new.
Sam and Jim will be joined by violinist Tom Moore, melodeon Archie Churchill-Moss, bassist Barnaby Stradling and drummer Sam Nadel.
False Lights will be at The Exchange, in Old Market, at 7pm on October 7.
Tickets, priced £15, are available from www.exchangebristol.com
