Scrumpstock fun captured by Mercury reader

There would be no Scrumpstock Festival if it were not for Adam Arvester. This whole thing was his idea and it has proved to be a great festival... the first of many no doubt.

With it being his idea, it is fitting that the band should feature in a headline slot and what a storming set it was (lightning and all!!). Only one more act to go!

A CIDER-fuelled weekend of fun at the Scrumpstock festival was rounded off by a barnstorming set from West Country favourites Comybne Arvester.

They were the last act to appear at the festival, which was held at Highbridge’s Oaktree Arena on June 2 and 3.

The band – which featured festival organiser Adam Arvester – played a set including songs such as Labels of Thatchers Gold, Silly Jean and Haystacks High.

They were only one act to appear over the weekend, with The Fanzines, The Communicators, The Skimmity Hitchers and many more appearing.
