A pair of choirs will perform at a concert in a Somerset village next week to raise money for the RNLI.

Winscombe and District RNLI will host an evening of inspirational gospel music at Draycott Village Hall, in Latches Lane, on June 9 at 7.30pm.

Joyful Spirit Gospel Choir and Village Voices Community Choir will both perform.

Joyful Spirit are expertly led by musical director Alison Cooper-White, who is also head of music at Churchill Academy and Sixth Form.

Village Voices feature men and women from villages across Somerset and have grown considerably since they formed in 2015 thanks to a string of well-received performances.

Winscombe and District RNLI has held several successful fundraisers for the life-saving organisation in recent months, and next week’s concert promises to be another excellent event.

Tickets, priced £5-10, are available on 01934 842304 or via meejlfh@gmail.com
