New York pop-rock heavyweights State Champs have announced a UK tour, which will see them visit the O2 Academy in Bristol
The group finished their summer-long Warped Tour last year, and played Reading and Leeds festivals on the way.
State Champs formed in Albany, New York, in 2010, and released their first EP that year.
Their first major breakthrough came three years later, with the release of a new album and tours of the United States.
The band opened for All Time Low in 2015, and then 5 Seconds Of Summer.
By the end of the year, their album had reached number 30 in the Billboard Top 200 album charts.
Their music has been described as ‘pop punk’.
The band said: “Ecstatic to say we will be back in February and March to headline mainland Europe and the UK for the first time in a long time.
“We’re hitting some countries we haven’t played before, as well as coming back to a few places we are very familiar with.
“We’ve got some special stuff planned for these shows, so come party with us.”
State Champs will be supported by Brighton-based group As It Is, who released their second album in January.
Like State Champs, they have performed at Reading and Leeds Festivals, and are described as a pop-punk group.
Both groups are also joined on the tour by Northbound, which started life as an acoustic solo project based in Florida, featuring Jonathon Fraser.
Fraser is now joined by three bandmates and they will start the proceedings in Bristol.
State Champs will be at the 02 Academy, in Frogmore Street, Bristol on March 10 at 6.30pm.
Tickets, priced £15.75, are available from www.academymusicgroup.com/o2academybristol
