Symphony orchestra returns to Colston Hall

THE works of some of the world's most celebrated composers will be revisited at the Colston Hall in February.

Led by the internationally-renowned Marin Alsop, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra will return to the venue on February 2 to perform a programme of Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Shostakovich.

Alsop, BSO Conductor Emeritus and the orchestra’s former principal conductor, will be joined by young soloist Denis Kozhukhin, the winner of the Queen Elizabeth Competition in 2010.

The programme will feature Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Shostakovich’s Symphony No 5 and Beethoven’s Leonore Overture No 3.
