YORKSHIRE'S finest jazz singer is putting on a special performance in the beautiful grounds of Coombe Lodge in Blagdon on Sunday

YORKSHIRE'S finest jazz singer is putting on a special performance in the beautiful grounds of Coombe Lodge in Blagdon on Sunday.Clare Teal, also a Radio 2 presenter, will be visiting the village as part of her 2006 tour.She has just won the award for best vocalist at the BBC jazz awards and is one of the most successful female jazz singers in Britain.Clare is also set to become a household name across the world as the new presenter of BBC Radio 2's Big Band Special, a live show which blends a mix of music, light entertainment and comedy. She also presents After Seven With Clare Teal.Her album Don't Talk shot straight to number 20 in the national charts, making her the first UK female mainstream jazz artist to have a top 20 album in almost 30 years.She will be performing two of her songs on the soundtrack of the new UK film, Confetti, the most popular songs from her four previous albums and material from her forthcoming album.The show starts at 3pm.
