A BAND renowned for its pyrotechnic-packed stage shows is bringing a unique homage to a much-loved Irish rock group to Bristol.
Limehouse Lizzy will be appearing in Germany, France, Holland, Belgium and Ireland during their 2012 tour, but will include a stop-off in Bristol on February 10.
Reviewers have praised the attention to detail and playful audience interaction of the group’s tribute to Phil Lynott’s Thin Lizzy.
Indeed, such has been Limehouse Lizzy’s success, they have transcended their tribute act beginnings to perform along mainstream acts at festivals around the world.
Their 2012 tour continues to explore the hard-rocking legacy of Lynott, but now also incorporates a moving tribute to Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore, who died in 2011.
Classic tunes like Whisky In The Jar, Sarah and The Boys Are Back In Town will be performed in such pitch-perfect fashion that crowds will feel they have witnessed the real thing.
Limehouse Lizzy are appearing at the Tunnels in Lower Station Approach. The gig begins at 8.30pm, and tickets – priced at £14 – are available on 0845 6050255 or at www.limehouselizzy.com
