Harmonious music for Weston church

A group known for their close harmony singing and varied repertoire will be performing in Weston-super-Mare.
The Harlequin Singers will be performing under the guidance of their new conductor Kieran Bird.
Their show will feature sacred and secular music, including Hubert Parry’s My Soul There Is A Country and Stanford’s Beati Quorum.
Jerome Kern’s Ol’ Man River, and Robert Sund’s The Drunken Sailor will also be performed.
The Harlequin Singers will make use of the fantastic acoustics in All Saints’ Church, in All Saints Road, at their concert at noon on June 23.
Tickets are priced £8, and include the cost of a light lunch and also a glass of wine.
The church hosts regular concerts and recitals, and its upcoming shows will feature Robert Lennox, Kammer Philharmonie and the Weston Light Orchestra.
