A six-piece jazz band will entertain a Portishead crowd on November 30.
The Sopranos will be the latest act to take to the stage for Speakeasy Jazz Club’s monthly meets.
They are fronted by two soprano saxophones and imitate the style of Sidney Bechet, Jimmie Noone and Bob Wilber, according to organiser Kate Sheridan.
She said: “Andy Leggett and Chris Pearce bring their own unique sound, a magical blend of tone and style, joining forces to play all the great tunes of the New Orleans era.
“They both recently worked alongside the iconic Chris Barber, and will be joined by young trombone virtuoso Dave Deakin, Phil Probert on the banjo and guitar, Tony Sharp on bass and drummer Ian Parry.
“We will be transported to Bourbon Street on a hot and steamy night in New Orleans.”
The Sopranos will perform at Clarence House, in High Street, at 8.30pm.
Tickets, priced £12, can be bought on the door, on 01275 848391 or at email@example.com
