THE annual Jazz In The Park event is ready to go this weekend and will feature two established bands to entertain the crowds.

The free event will be held in Manor Gardens, at the junction of Love Lane and Berrow Road in Burnham on Sunday and will include music from The Roger Bond Band and The Panama Jazz Band.

The Roger Bond band will bring a little nostalgia to the event, having played many years ago in the park.

The Panama Jazz Band will headline the day after recording their first CD locally. The Bristol based band includes music from the trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, banjo, guitar, bass and drums to give an unrivalled sound.

From upbeat numbers such as High Society and When The Saints to gentler tunes like Stranger On The Shore, the group will bring a very enjoyable performance on the day.

Real ale, lager, cider, wine and soft drinks will flow throughout the event from 12.30-5pm and a new burger bar will be available.
