A North Somerset classical music group will perform a concert at a village church next month.

West Mendip Orchestra will play at Yatton’s St Mary’s Church, in Church Road, on May 6 at 7.45pm.

The concert will feature a range of masterful performances from both wind and string instruments, including Cristina Dimitrova’s Violin Concerto.

Winscombe-based West Mendip Orchestra regularly play shows across North Somerset, wowing classical music lovers with their varied performances delivered by future stars from the area.

The orchestra will be joined by guest conductor Philip Draisey, who has plenty of experience in leading top music groups around the South West.

Tickets for this show, priced £8-10, are available from the church office or on the door.

The orchestra is recruiting new members. For more information, visit www.west-mendip-orchestra.org.uk
