Fans of music are in for a treat next month with a concert to be held in one of Weston’s churches.

The Flanders and Swan lunchtime concert will take place in early September and allow the audience to enjoy some top-class music.

People are being invited to pop down to All Saints’ Church to hear what organisers say is ‘one of England’s greatest song-writing partnerships’.

Michaels Flanders and Donald Swan’s pieces will be performed by tenor Gordon Pullin, who is musical director of Congresbury Singers.

Nick Sherwood will support Pullin by playing the piano.

Organisers say the event promises to be a ‘wonderful’ occasion.

The music concert will begin at noon on September 8 at the church in All Saints Road.

Tickets, priced £8, will be available to purchase on the door. The ticket price includes a light lunch and also a glass of wine.
