Original teenage dirtbags, Wheatus, will be heading to Bristol’s Thekla this spring.

The date is part of a huge 31-stop UK tour ahead of the 20th anniversary of the band’s self-titled debut album, including ubiquitous single Teenage Dirtbag which will see an expanded re-release with 10 additional tracks next year.

Frontman Brendan B Brown said: “We found demos of about 10 songs written alongside the tracks that made the album, but they didn’t get finished.

“Looking at them now, they feel surprisingly fresh and deserving of a proper chance to be heard.

“So, we’ll have a brand new 20-song version of our album on its twentieth anniversary – and that all happens in 2020.”

Wheatus will be performing at Thekla, in East Mud Dock, on May 13, at 7.30pm.

Tickets priced £18.15 are available on 01179 293 301 or online at www.theklabristol.co.uk
