Killer Queen will stomp the planks of Weston-super-Mare's Grand Pier next week in homage to the original band, Queen.

Lead singer Patrick Myers said 'it has been an amazing journey' to perform around Europe and in the US.

The tribute act formed in June 1993 and their first public show was at London University, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first show there 21 years earlier.

Tracks including Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now, We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions are likely to be played at the show.

Local rising star Holly Wadsworth will also be entertaining guests in the VIP lounge before Killer Queen takes to the main stage.

Killer Queen will perform at the Grand Pier, in Marine Parade, at 7pm on May 10.
