IRISH folk band The Dublin Legends, formerly called The Dubliners, will be performing at The Playhouse - and you could win tickets to the show.

Sean Cannon and Eamonn Campbell were members of The Dubliners for close to 30 years, before Gerry O’Connor joined them for the final part of their 50th anniversary tour in 2012.

But after the death of founding member Barney McKenna, the remaining members sat down to decide on the band’s future.

John Sheahan decided it was time to stop touring and it was agreed The Dubliners would come to an end – but The Dublin Legends were born.

The band continue the legacy started by Ronnie Drew, Luke Kelly, Ciaran Bourke, Barney McKenna and John Sheahan back in 1962.

They play a host of classic songs, including Whiskey In The Jar, Molly Malone, The Irish Rover and more.

The Dublin Legends will be playing at Weston’s Playhouse on February 20 at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £23, are available from the box office on 01934 645544 or online at www.theplayhouse.co.uk

The Mercury has teamed up with The Playhouse to offer three pairs of tickets to the show.

Usual Archant rules apply and the editor’s decision is final. By entering this competition you are agreeing to be contacted by Archant.
