Win tickets to Glenn Miller Orchestra

RELIVE the classic big band tunes from the past when the Glenn Miller Orchestra visits Weston this month.
Led by veteran band leader Ray McVay, the UK version of the famous 1930s orchestra have a repertoire of more than 200 pieces, including many of Miller’s original choices.
The 16-man orchestra will get you foot tapping along at the Playhouse on August 10, starting at 5pm.
The group features the same layout as Miller’s own orchestra, and has stayed true to the spirit and sound of the world-famous bandleader.
Come along and hear the classics, including Little Brown Jug, Pennsylvania 65000, In The Mood and Chattanooga Choo Choo, as well as a number of new additions in the style of the original orchestra which formed in 1938.
The orchestra will be joined by a male and female vocalist, and members will also help form the Uptown Hall Gang, a dixieland group playing a range of early jazz.
