A ROCK 'n' roll group who formed in Liverpool and found stardom in the 1960s are performing at Weston's Playhouse this month.
The Searchers were born out of an explosive musical era of Brit-pop, with The Beatles and The Hollies also finding fame in the same decade.
Their repertoire includes classic hits such as Sweets For My Sweet, Needles And Pins, Don’t Throw Your Love Away, Sugar And Spice and When You Walk In The Room.
So far, their record sales total more than 50 million and they still continue to tour the globe after five decades in the business.
They will be performing at the High Street venue on August 29 from 7.30pm
Tickets, priced £18.50-20.50, are available from the box office on 01934 645544 or from www.theplayhouse.co.uk
