If you missed them in 1963, now is your chance.

The Upbeat Beatles are the closest thing to the real deal as you are likely to get in 2016, and they’re coming to Weston, with a one-night-only slot at The Playhouse.

The show, which starts at 7.30pm on April 9, promises to ‘have you tapping your feet from the opening bars, dancing in the aisle and screaming like you did in 1963’.

Beatles fans can twist and shout to songs which shaped a generation, from the wet-behind-the-ears days of Love Me Do and She Loves You, to the hippie era of I Am The Walrus and Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

The extravagant show features 13 guitars and five costume changes. It charts the band’s success, from the early days of Liverpool’s Cavern Club, to the rooftop of the Apple Building.

Tickets, priced £20, are available from www.theplayhouse.co.uk

The Mercury has teamed up with The Playhouse to offer two lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to the show.
